The blog has moved...

You've reached my old blog... In order to simplify my blog, my portfolio and my life, I combined my blog and site into one. Now you can find my "blog" entries on my Recent Work page. You can also view my portfolio, link to slideshows and client information, and locate anything else you might need all in one place.

This blog contains old session blog posts, and my failed 2011 attempt at "One Image a Day" project in which I force myself to shoot something each day, personal or professional, as a challenge to myself. I'd love to hear what you think of the images as they might slightly stray from the norm. We'll see if I can pick it up for 2012!

Typically I don’t double blog sessions. I do come across a lot of favorites while I am reviewing a session and sometimes think “I should have waited and blogged this one” but then I hope that it will just be a pleasant surprise when the family sees their session. But I loved this one. This is not my style. Typically I am not artsy, ethereal or dreamy (though I would love to be). And to be honest, I wasn’t even really shooting any more for this, I think I was squatting on the ground to put my gear away and looked up to get this, I didn’t even change my settings, but I looked up and saw it and snapped. But I love the way they are both looking at a land far, far away… maybe thinking about home.., in Spain or the one just a block away. And I just started humming…

Let me know what you think!

We always tell Christofer that his white sneakers are his superfastshoes — it has to be said as one word, superfast.  Luca wore his superfastshoes today.  Although I think Luca wears them every day.  And that is why his beautiful mommy looks as fit and radiant as she does…  all that chasing around.   No, she looks radiant for other reasons, but you certainly can’t tell as she might just be the “haute-est” momma-to-be I’ve seen in a long time.  It was so fun for me to meet Paco, Sophie and Luca and I am so glad we were able to connect before they head home to Spain.  We had a very fun time together and we all got in a great workout running after Luca, and he had a great time exploring.  As a mom, I totally see the value in having a stranger chasing around your child with a camera… the kid never stops, and then he naps.  Hopefully for a long time.  So I should just market myself as a “nap preparation specialist.”  No?

OK, landing the plane… this is a gorgeous family and I am thrilled I photographed them.  Many thanks!
