The blog has moved...

You've reached my old blog... In order to simplify my blog, my portfolio and my life, I combined my blog and site into one. Now you can find my "blog" entries on my Recent Work page. You can also view my portfolio, link to slideshows and client information, and locate anything else you might need all in one place.

This blog contains old session blog posts, and my failed 2011 attempt at "One Image a Day" project in which I force myself to shoot something each day, personal or professional, as a challenge to myself. I'd love to hear what you think of the images as they might slightly stray from the norm. We'll see if I can pick it up for 2012!

I am blogging out of order… I should be posting the two very awesome families I met on Saturday… or something about workshops… but I Carolyn needs a little fix of her boys because she’s out of town for a few days. When I used to travel for work, I simply loved staying in hotels… I loved having room service in a totally clean room, sleeping in a bit and not having to clean up after myself, or anyone else! But I’d wake up a few times at night wondering where my babies were… and take off and landing of the airplane would put me into a terror. I am a great flier, but there is just something about being a parent and flying without your children that can make you sick in a totally new way. So for Carolyn, who is out of town, here are your boys!

These two just get yummier each time I see them. They can really sit up now and Will is totally scooting around on his belly! Sort of like you put him down on hardwoods, turn your back, and he’s pushed back about 3 feet and facing the other direction! I got a bunch of shots of them together this time… and we went outside! I know some of the riding moms here in town want to see inside the barn, but I only put them at the entrance… maybe around 9 months we’ll put them to work in the actual stables.

I also took the opportunity to get them in front of the beyond fabulous graffiti on the barn… courtesy of their dad on their parent’s wedding day. When I first moved to town I thought “I am in love with that barn with the heart… wouldn’t it be amazing to photograph it…” I never imagined I actually would and that these two guys would be my models!

Next month is going to be a family session, so I am beyond excited to plan that!
