The blog has moved...

You've reached my old blog... In order to simplify my blog, my portfolio and my life, I combined my blog and site into one. Now you can find my "blog" entries on my Recent Work page. You can also view my portfolio, link to slideshows and client information, and locate anything else you might need all in one place.

This blog contains old session blog posts, and my failed 2011 attempt at "One Image a Day" project in which I force myself to shoot something each day, personal or professional, as a challenge to myself. I'd love to hear what you think of the images as they might slightly stray from the norm. We'll see if I can pick it up for 2012!

But I have to post this image of Alison.  I love it.  I seriously think she is so beautiful.  I know she has 1,000 things she is going to say are wrong with her, but I don’t care.  I think she rocks the hizzle.  So if you know Alison, and you surely agree with me, tell her you love it.  Anyway, this is a late blog post.  It was a super quick session and I am not posting my favs because I don’t want to spoil the surprise of her holiday card. So here are just a few!

Love it because I am so busy, I am meeting so many people, doing so many things and I feel like I can conquer the world.  Hate it because I am so busy, late on things for so many people and doing so many things I feel like I am about to destroy everything I have because I can’t get a handle on it.

Today was rainy and things were rescheduled, so I had the chance to finally run errands and catch up with a few people.  I dropped some prints off to Kenzie Kids down in Dedham.  If you haven’t been to the new luxury shopping center, Legacy Place, I highly recommend grabbing your wallets, a good friend with stamina, and study shoes.  Man is there A LOT of shopping to be had there.  Anyway, Kenzie Kids is gorgeous and I am THRILLED to have my beautiful client’s faces on the walls there.  It is such an honor for me since I have been shopping their for gifts and my own kids since the early 90s!  I can’t wait to take pictures of the display once they are all up!  Estelle was more than patient with me and my children while we were there, despite the fact that Janey was screeching and threw a snow globe which promptly smashed on the floor.  I make it a point to never, ever bring my children on business related activities, and now I know why.  I should have tried harder to find childcare for that drop off.

Anyway, as I mentioned, I owe a lot of people a lot of things.  There are orders due in, orders to be shipped out, galleries to proof, cards to create.  I am working on it, and as I will repeat over and over again, I promise that every person’s cards will go out on time and every holiday gift will be delivered prior to their celebrations.  I promise.

But  for now, let me catch up on some sneak peaks.  It’s just going to be post-a-palooza and I apologize that people are not getting individual blog posts for their sessions.  Oh forget it, maybe they will, they might just be small ones!

Thanks so much to everyone for being as patient and awesome with me as you are.

And so I am hoping that Lisa really thinks these are good because I’ve made her wait  {yes, I know, Alison is still waiting too}.  Last week on River Road, Lisa and her seriously good looking kids!

I am so behind on everything.  I know, same old story.  Blah blah blah.  So technically I shouldn’t blog these until I have the other kids from this session ready… but I couldn’t wait because I saw these two and just thought they were so delish.  What made me even MORE excited was that their prints from the summer came in and they look awesome!  I am so excited!  Anyway, this is all I have time for because I am pretty sure Owen is about to figure out that I am not, in fact, getting ready to meet him, but instead still working.  Over and out.

I was so excited to get a call from Janet’s good friend about a session.  Of course I was so excited that I actually hit redial to her when I thought I was calling Owen and so when she answered I was super taken aback as to why she was answering Owen’s phone!  Then I figured it out, called her back, awkwardly apologized and we got ourselves all squared away!

What a great family.  Family photos can be so tedious, almost awkward, but when dad helps lighten the mood by chucking acorns, and the kids start throwing up signs and flexing their muscles, really, how can you go wrong?  So this went from a say “cheese” sort of session to downright chaos and it was really a lot of fun!

Thanks so much!
