Now don’t be thinking I’ll be doing this every day. I just couldn’t think of a title. Loving this shot of these two. They play so well together, they just love each other. Maybe I’ll get off my butt and print this for Jody and I. Maybe not though. Yeah, I will. As a standout mount with linen texture.

So as you might know, from the number of complaints that I thrown out just about everywhere, I managed to break my IBM laptop (keyboard… can Diet Coke really do that?), my Mac (the hard drive, not my fault, it’s brand new for God’s sake), and my Blackberry (wine, Janey’s saliva, salty air). Unfortunately it had a few day’s of our time in Quogue plus the Rockport images on it… TBD when I get to the Apple Store if those still exist. No customer sessions, but has limited how much I can work on things, so I am very backed up.
I managed to salvage a few images of a card before I reformatted… I was pretty excited to see these, seeing as I really thought I captured a few good sibling shots on the dunes. This is the best. No, really, it is. This isn’t an outtake, this is it. Needless to say, we don’t have the holiday card photo yet by a long shot. But I wanted to post this because so many clients often say to me “your kids are lovely and you capture such beautiful images of them, my kids never behave.” Listen up. Neither do mine. The good thing is that I can almost always make yours behave for a split second, and I don’t even threaten time-outs to do it!
Anyway, here they are. I love them to pieces and might actually frame this little number. Oh, who am I kidding, I can’t get around to framing anything. But at least I know it’s there.
Monica & Todd are simply perfect together. I walked away from them feeling so good about everything and that all would be right in the world. They have known each other for SO long, like since they were playing together in nursery school… but not “boring” SO long… like they’ve been out there, they’ve seen things, they’ve done things, they’ve built their own lives, yet somehow merged them adorably, perfectly together. They were clearly brought back into each other’s life for a purpose and I know it will always have meaning to them. They are a really good reminder of why to get married, because you just love someone that much.
I had so much fun hanging out with them. I seriously should have followed them home for Todd’s Tacos. But it was about 90 degrees at 7:30PM and mama was not so smart and wore jeans and after climbing 6 stories to Trevor & Denise’s roofdeck, I just needed to go home and jump in the pool (which I did, after a brief pit stop in the old hood for a quick libation).
Anyway, the stars just sort of aligned with this. Months and months ago we had brunch at Trevor & Denise’s house and I got the idea that I’d love to shoot on his roofdeck (who wouldn’t) and also in his stairwell. I shot a few of Christofer, but then realized it wasn’t a setup for kids. So I tucked it away and the minute I heard Monica & Todd were engaged I knew I wanted to bring them there. So I basically hunted down Monica and haunted her on Facebook until she said yes! T&D left us the key, the weather was perfect, the light was yummy and voila!
I hope you love these as much as I do. I don’t work with adults very often, though it’s something I am exploring with a potential partner and we are both very excited by the prospects. I’d love to hear your thoughts on these… and leave this adorable couple some love!

Not only is this an absolutely fantastic capture of a moment, but the blue tones are very striking. Fabulous!
