The blog has moved...

You've reached my old blog... In order to simplify my blog, my portfolio and my life, I combined my blog and site into one. Now you can find my "blog" entries on my Recent Work page. You can also view my portfolio, link to slideshows and client information, and locate anything else you might need all in one place.

This blog contains old session blog posts, and my failed 2011 attempt at "One Image a Day" project in which I force myself to shoot something each day, personal or professional, as a challenge to myself. I'd love to hear what you think of the images as they might slightly stray from the norm. We'll see if I can pick it up for 2012!

At this moment I was driving around with my future-sister-in-law, listening to Mr Brightside by the Killers… trying to forget my sister and mother woke me up by screaming that I’d slept in the wrong bed… getting my hair done by Helen… stopping by Brighton to pick up God knows what… laughing at Owen & Doyle still napping… and heading home to get ready.

Our wedding was really fun. I know the church was a long ceremony, but we loved it. So much of a wedding flies by, so it was nice to have something be a little long and drawn out, making it last. Call us crazy, we sort of liked the little bit of tradition and history that was involved in the ceremony. But the rest of wedding was a blast. Strecker rocked the State Room, everyone danced, the open bar stayed open a bit longer than it should have, and we had a great after party (for those that pulled through until 5AM with us).

Our honeymoon to the Motherland was more than either of us ever could have imagined. The only way we can sum it up is “when can we go back?”

So in the past four years we’ve had two kids, bought a house and moved, lost some friends and family, made some wonderful new friends, started a business, lost some pets, taken some great vacations and gone no where other than our own backyard. It’s been a truly wonderful life and we are incredibly blessed with how full it is.

I am looking forward to a nice dinner, drinking some wine, and watching our life on our Apple TV. {ok, we’ll probably really watch Lost from last night… but we’ll just pretend we’re researching or next vacation}.
