The blog has moved...

You've reached my old blog... In order to simplify my blog, my portfolio and my life, I combined my blog and site into one. Now you can find my "blog" entries on my Recent Work page. You can also view my portfolio, link to slideshows and client information, and locate anything else you might need all in one place.

This blog contains old session blog posts, and my failed 2011 attempt at "One Image a Day" project in which I force myself to shoot something each day, personal or professional, as a challenge to myself. I'd love to hear what you think of the images as they might slightly stray from the norm. We'll see if I can pick it up for 2012!

And she’s not mine.  I know, how bad is it that I am saying that when I have a daughter and nieces that I love so much?  This little girl isn’t even blood.  But she’s close, because really, after the shenanigans that her mom and I pulled for 10+ years in Newport, Nantucket, Boston, isn’t she sort of like my daughter once removed?

So from a technical perspective, not that you really care, you should know that this is Catherine straight out of the camera.  That is her skin, those are her lips, and her eyes are really that color.  She got a slight bump in curves and a sharpen for web, but that’s it.  And if you’re really a dork, you will be excited to know that I shot that at 1/125 f/3.2 at ::::::drumroll please::::: ISO 3200.  No noise reduction or anything else funky going on.  How’s that for amazing exposure with the Canon 5DM2 and 24-70L?
