The blog has moved...

You've reached my old blog... In order to simplify my blog, my portfolio and my life, I combined my blog and site into one. Now you can find my "blog" entries on my Recent Work page. You can also view my portfolio, link to slideshows and client information, and locate anything else you might need all in one place.

This blog contains old session blog posts, and my failed 2011 attempt at "One Image a Day" project in which I force myself to shoot something each day, personal or professional, as a challenge to myself. I'd love to hear what you think of the images as they might slightly stray from the norm. We'll see if I can pick it up for 2012!

This is how I know it’s going to be a good day. No glitches getting into town (i.e. no flat tires), open space in Visitor Parking (I actually had quarters for the meter), a 50% off sale at Kiwi baby (even though I wasn’t supposed to be shopping)… and showing up to a home with a sign that reads “Mahalo” on the front door. I hummed the Mahalo song (from my website) the entire session.

It gets better. This little girl was awesome. She had her charm on the entire morning. Her parents were pretty cool (you know, for parents…) and they let us walk all over the neighborhood to find some shadows, steps, bricks and flowers. I had a blast.

“Mahalo, that means thank you, mahalo, mahalo, mahalo…” (imagine Laurie Berkner singing that, not me).

[This was about the 3rd shot out of the gates... I almost said "OK, I am finished, I can go home now."]
