The blog has moved...

You've reached my old blog... In order to simplify my blog, my portfolio and my life, I combined my blog and site into one. Now you can find my "blog" entries on my Recent Work page. You can also view my portfolio, link to slideshows and client information, and locate anything else you might need all in one place.

This blog contains old session blog posts, and my failed 2011 attempt at "One Image a Day" project in which I force myself to shoot something each day, personal or professional, as a challenge to myself. I'd love to hear what you think of the images as they might slightly stray from the norm. We'll see if I can pick it up for 2012!

Not really.  But he just seems so old.  I beg and plead for him not to grow up and he says “But Mama, I HAVE to grow up… pleeeaaaaase?”

And when did he lose his fear of heights?  When did it become OK to try to jump from the FOURTH STEP UP?  And when did he figure out he could assign personalities and names to his froggy hands and make them talk?

My new custom image box is now available. This treasure houses all the images from your session in a lustre coated box with a magnetic enclosure and ribbon pull on the inside. It stacks like an album on a shelf, or is a lovely conversation piece on a table. The cover image is selected from your gallery and designed with your approval. Digitally matted prints also available. Comes in 5X7 or 8X10 size.

I lasted all of two weeks maintaining two blogs and I am just not sure I can do it.  So a I promised I was separating church and state, it looks like that won’t happen and my kids have crawled their way back on to this blog.  So love ‘em or love ‘em.  They are probably here to stay.

Here’s Janey modeling my favorite new accessory: the pink pettiskirt. The amazing thing about this is that I have these in size 12 mo, 18 mo (hot pink and orange), 2-4 (teal), and 4-6 (teal).  So if you are booking a session and you have a girlie girl on your hands, let me know and I’ll toss these in my bag and she can have a whirl with them!

These two were born just one day apart and they are cousins (second, third, I am not clear on how all that works once it gets past second and into another generation!). And from the looks of things, they took seeing each other VERY seriously. They are both happy babies… just not when you mess with their nap time. Typically I don’t focus on MY kids here… I focus on yours. But sometimes I’ll add a shot or two if I happen to capture an image that is typical of what you’d receive in a session. And speaking of sessions, I simply cannot wait to have a real one with this little guy. Just not at naptime!

After a few missed connections, I finally was able to meet up with Meighan and her beautiful family. Luckily, the snow held off a day and I was able to make it down to her folks house before they had to head back down to the city. As you all know, leaving MY children to go hang out with YOURS makes for my perfect Sunday morning, and this was no exception. Madeleine was an absolute doll, and it was so easy to shoot her because she’s 7 months old and I shoot that age every day!

Thanks guys! And thank you Robin for sending her my way!
